In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Upland; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (909) 368-6927. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is sweetfires.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 5.0 out of 5 from 128 reviews, which is a strong result for a hot pot in Upland and suggests consistent service.
Upland is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Upland follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Dining at Sweet Fires turned out to be a surprisingly memorable experience that balanced comfort food with a lively, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, the place had a warm glow, with soft lighting and a cozy setup that made it feel inviting without being overly formal. The staff greeted me politely and guided me through the menu, which had a good mix of spicy, sweet, and smoky-style dishes that clearly focus on bold flavors. I ordered a signature combo meal along with one of their specialty appetizers. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and everything was served hot and freshly prepared. The standout for me was the way they handled seasoning—the dishes had a noticeable kick, but it was balanced with just enough sweetness to keep things interesting rather than overwhelming. Portions were fair for the price, and I left feeling satisfied rather than stuffed. The seating area stayed fairly clean even during busy hours, though it did get a bit crowded later in the evening, which slightly slowed down service. Still, the staff remained attentive and checked in when needed without being intrusive. One thing I appreciated was the consistency in flavor acros

Sweet Fires is a fantastic spot for hot pot lovers. The hot pot arrives piping hot and loaded with fresh veggies, noodles, dumplings, tofu, and your choice of meat. Before the main dish, they bring out pot stickers and dumplings to sample, which is a really nice touch. You also get complimentary iced tea and a small serving of shaved ice with your meal, which makes the whole experience feel even more special. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and the service was very attentive throughout our visit. Best of all, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions you get. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

It was my first time having a hot pot dinner and it did not disappoint. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted so warmly! Customer service is very important to me and this place went above and beyond on this! The restaurant was very clean as well as restrooms, very much a plus for me! My husband ordered a spicy meat hot pot, and it was actually very good! I ordered the coconut curry with dumplings and it was phenomenal! Both meals came with Tpumps tea, you get a choice of 3 or 4 choices of flavor tea. It was surprisingly affordable for how good the food is! My husband and I absolutely loved it here! We will continue to come and eat here whenever we want hot pot for dinner!

Honestly, if I could, I would rate the place well above 5 stars. From the customer service to the vibes to the food; everything was top tier. I'm glad I stopped by this little restaraunt, it's like I discovered a hidden gem out here in Upland. From the very start, I noticed the entire restaurant is very clean and organized and their choices for decorations are tasteful. When acknowledged at the front, they helped explain the menu in great detail and patiently answered all of my questions. They were also especially attentive and I didn't have to wait long to be helped when needing something. Additionally, they offered a lot of complimentary snacks and honored my requests when asked. They were also especially polite, friendly, and accommodating compared to other restaurants. I would share more of what they went out of their way to do during my visit but I also don't want to unintentionally encourage others to ask for things that might not be offered to every customer. I just so happened to be there alone and at a later time and I also misheard an employee and assumed customers were allowed certain accomodations such as specific refills. Anyway, customer service was amazing, and t
